Affordable private education for every family.

HDA provides an affordable private school option in Central Florida by offering opportunities to our students through scholarships, grants, and attention to each family’s needs.

Hampden DuBose Academy is a non-profit organization. We work to keep the cost of your child’s education as low as possible and consistent with the opportunities afforded to the students.

Charges paid by tuition do not cover the cost of all the services provided by the school. The remainder is made up by gifts and endowments to the institution. To that end, we have a significant scholarship program at our school.

  • Over 85% of HDA students receive scholarships; whether through Step Up for Students, AAA Scholarship Foundation, or other various offerings

  • Evaluation of need and amount of scholarships given are determined on a case-by-case basis

  • More information is available through the school office or by downloading the Financial Summary below

Our goal is to ensure that every student is given the best chance at great educational opportunities.

Examples of how families cover their tuition & costs at HDA:

The Founders Scholarship

A single mother was faced with taking care of an elderly parent, which required her to drop down to part-time work. Her children had been students at HDA for a few years already, but the cost of tuition didn’t seem possible on a part-time salary. HDA was able to offer her children a Founders Scholarship to assist in their cost and keep her students in the stable school environment they love.

Combined Scholarships

A family desired Christian education for their blossoming three children. However, on a small church pastor’s salary and with mom’s new business just getting underway, their income just can’t support private school. But with the help of the Step Up Scholarship and the HDA Founders Scholarship, this family of five was able to afford a private school education for all three children.

Work Study Scholarship

A legal-guardian sought a fresh start and academic help for her high school student – previously unavailable in their local public school. After applying for scholarships based on financial need, the student was able to receive a Work Study scholarship to help cover the costs of tuition, while affording the opportunity to study and work in a field of interest.

Unique Abilities Scholarships

A family was intent on a school with small class sizes to help their student regain confidence after battling learning disabilities. HDA provided that opportunity with quality teachers and highly trained staff in our on-campus Discovery program. Financial assistance was available through an FES-UA or AAA Unique Abilities Scholarship. After careful attention to the student’s needs, the family is full of hope for their child who is now flourishing educationally, spiritually, physically, and socially at HDA.
